About the Trainer
Anthony Stewart

 

Seven years working with San Bernardino and Riverside probation youth offenders charged with felony crimes, while simultaneously working as a part-time, paid-call-Firefighter for the city of Highland. 

 

Twenty-five years as a Correctional Officer in a level 4 prison.  Appointed by the CDCR Field Training Lieutenant to conduct mandatory training to all Salinas Valley State Prison employees.

 

In my current position as  an adult and juvenile incarceration consultant, I am privileged to act as a  mentor, providing career skills and teaching Independent Living Skills to at-risk youth.  Additionally, I am actively collaborating to form partnerships with local places of worship and businesses to provide strategic  Active Shooter Training.

Avert will give you the knowledge and confidence you need to escape, evade, or attack during an active violence incident.  Our experts have worked as undercover officers, emergency responders, private security, advanced medical providers and trainers.  This range of experience uniquely comes together into one potentially life-saving course that can be taught and learned in as little as one day.

Active Violence Emergency Response Training (AVERT) gives you the tools to understand how to recognize warning signs, react quickly in an active shooter situations, and learn how to control bleeding in life-threatening situations.

The AVERT program was developed by professional law enforcement, private security, and medical experts with over 30 years of experience.

AVERT provides training in skills that were once taught only to first

responders.  The AVERT experts took their professional-level training skills and adapted them into a course that's easily learned by anyone-

no prior knowledge is required.
